Qualifications: Bachelor Degree in Engineering and some expertise in software as a purchase family.

Minimum 3 years of progressive Sourcing experience including demonstrate understanding of total cost of ownership.

Demonstrated advanced supplier negotiations and complex contractual agreement experience.

Proficiency with complex data development and analysis.

Willing to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% of time.

Duties: In this role, the Leader for software, in conjunction with the Global Sourcing Leader for Technology PF, will be responsible for growing key relationships with GE Strategic Suppliers in the software purchase family to develop scalable, best practice development around Supplier Collaboration, New Product Introduction strategies, revenue generation and thorough knowledge of Strategic Supplier manufacturing processes. The Sourcing Leader role is an individual contributor role, with no direct reports.

Building deep relationships with Strategic software suppliers (crossing multiple purchase families and technologies), including establishing peer relationships, facilitating integration into GEs NPI process, and the suppliers manufacturing processes.

Coordinate strategic supplier selection and development, develop NPI/End-of-Life strategies with strategic software suppliers, and utilize Six Sigma / Lean methodology to drive supplier best practices.

Perform total cost analysis for software, including target costing and revenue generation.

Coach and mentor business leaders, Regional Sourcing Leaders and other stakeholders on the qualitative and quantitative value of strategic supplier relationships and software cost avoidance.
